CAR RENTAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

General Information
Minimum rental period: 3 days.
Days not used are not refundable. For groups G/I/U, in addition to the voucher, the client must be in possession of at least one valid credit card at the beginning of the rental.

What is included:
Rates include unlimited mileage (except for groups K and W for which 150 km per day is included), CDW, TLW (except for long-term rates), PAI (except for Luxury Cars, commercial vehicles and scooters) and, in some cases VAT.

What is not included:
The rates do not include fuel, fines, damage to the underside of the vehicle, the interior or windscreens, or for any damage incurred whilst the driver was not observing the highway code.

Minimum age:
For rental of our vehicle groups A/B/C/D/E/F, scooters and commercial vehicles, clients must be between 21 and 75 years of age. For rentals of all other groups, the client must be at least 23 years old, whilst for Luxury Car rentals,the client must be at least 25 years old.

Driving License:
For rental of groups A/B/C and scooters, the client must have held their driving license for at least 1 year. For all other vehicle types, the client must have held their license for a minimum of three years.

Payment:
For the rental of any of our vehicles, the client must be in possession of a valid credit card (Amex/Diners/VISA/Mastercard). For the rental of groups G/I/O/P/U the client must be in possession of a valid Amex/Diners/VISA Gold credit card. For the rental of Luxury Cars, the client must be in possession of 2 valid credit cards, of which at least one must be either American Express or Diners.

Deposit:
At the time of rental, the client is required to leave a deposit to cover the cost of the rental, fuel and CDW and/or TLW deductibles. The deposit will be returned to the client providing the vehicle has not been stolen and is returned with a full tank of fuel and has not been damaged. To this end, the client must present a credit card (type Amex/Diners/Visa/Mastercard) in their name. Deposits may not be paid by bancomat or debit card. For groups I/P/U, the client must present 2 credit cards in their name. For the rental of LUXURY CARS, clients must present 2 cards in their name, one of which must me either American Express or Diners.

Fuel and Refuelling Charge:
All of our cars, vans and scooters are delivered with a full tank of fuel (petrol or diesel). In the case that the vehicle is not returned with a full tank of fuel, a charge of Euro 11,00 + VAT (20%) will be applied in addition to the cost of the missing fuel.

Out of Hours:
In the majority of our rental locations pick-up and drop-offs outside normal office hours is allowed. Out of hour operations and “on request” and must be confirmed in advance. For this service, clients will be asked to pay a local supplement of Euro 31,00 + VAT (20%).

Late returns:
For vehicle drop-offs, a maximum tolerance of 59 minutes is allowed (with the exception of our special formulas such as weekend and long-term rentals) after which, an extra days rental will be charged (at our local rate in operation at the time).

Airport Tax:
All rental contracts issued from an airport location will be subject to airport tax of 12% on time, distance and insurances

Accessories:
Luggage racks, ski racks, baby seats and snow chains are available in all our locations and should be requested at the time of booking. An additional charge of Euro 26,00 + VAT (20%) should be paid directly in loco at the time of rental.

Delivery and collection: Delivery and collection at our offices is free. Our Company can also offer delivery and collection to our clients hotels. In this case, all necessary information must be supplied at the time of reservation (hotel name, address, telephone number, pick up time etc.). The client is required to pay a supplement in loco, for further details, please contact our reservation department.

One way rentals (ONE WAY): For rentals finishing in a city other than that of pick-up, a supplement of Euro 26,00 + VAT is payable (except Sardinia). One way rentals involving Sardinia require a supplement of Lit. 130,00 + VAT. One way rentals are not allowed for either the Porsche Boxster or Mercedes SLK (groups W and K) unless between Milan and Rome (or vice versa) and for a rental period of at least 7 days, for which there is a supplement of Euro 130,00 + VAT. One way rental of commercial vehicles attracts a supplement of Euro 0,52 + VAT per km (distance between the 2 offices). One way rentals of scooters atracts a supplement of Euro 130,00 + VAT.

Extra drivers: For each additional driver, a supplement of Euro 1,03 + VAT per day is required, to be paid in loco. For the rental of Luxury Cars, a supplement of Euro 5,16 + VAT per additional driver. Per day is required. For the rental of commercial vehicle, the supplement required is Euro 2,06 + VAT per extra driver per day. For the rental of scooters, for each additional driver, a supplement of Euro 2,58 + VAT per day is required.

Oil and Maintenance: Expenses for engine oil will be reimbursed upon presentation of a receipt made out to our company. No other types of expenses will be reimbursed without prior authorisation from our staff.

Type of vehicle: Although our car rental company endeavours to deliver the vehicle requested by the client, the make and model can not always be guaranteed. In the case that a requested model is not available, another vehicle of the same or of a superior category will be delivered.

Fines: All fines and charges relating to breaches of the highway code relating to a rental period will be charged directly to the renter.

Insurance cover:
All vehicle are covered for third party responsibility with a maximum of Euro 2.582.284,50 damage, fire and theft (except for long term and monthly rates which do not include theft insurance), P.A.I. (except for Luxury Cars, commercial vehicles and scooters, which do not have P.A.I. included).

C.D.W. and T.L.W. deductibles for standard vehicles and Luxury Cars:
In the case of damage, theft or fire to the vehicle, a fixed deductible of Euro 550,00 + VAT for groups A/B/C/D, Euro 775,00 + VAT for groups E/E1/F/H/M/M1/N/S and Euro 2583,00 + VAT for groups G/I/O/P/U/J/J1/Q/R/K/W remains the responsibility of the client. The deductible amounts must be left as deposit at the begining of the rental, either in cash or by credit card authorisation. For the rental of groups G/I/O/P/U, the client must be in possession of one of the following credit cards: American Express, Diners or VISA Gold. For Luxury Car rentals, the client must be in posession of 2 credit cards, one of which must be American Express or Diners.

C.D.W. and T.L.W. deductibles for scooters:
All our scooters are covered for third party loss or damage, accident damage, theft and fire insurance, but in the case of one of our scooters being damaged and/or stolen a deductible of Euro 206,58 + VAT remains the responsibility of the client.

Damage and theft insurance, and C.D.W. and T.L.W. deductibles for commercial vehicles:
Damage and theft insurance cover must be purchased at the time of rental (Euro 11,50 + VAT 20% per day for TLW and € 12,50 per day + VAT 20% for CDW). In case of incidental or you materially damn visible referable or to the vehicle to the corrected not use of the vehicle, as well as in case of theft or fire of the vehicle, the customer remains responsible of a fixed immunity equal to € 1.240,00 + VAT 20%, that must be deposit with credit card at the beginning of the rental.

Super Kasko & Super Furto:
Drivers who wish to travel with the maximum serenity, have the possibility to completely eliminate their financial responsibility towards the vehicle in the case of damage, theft or fire, by undersigning the Super CDW and Super TLW supplements. These supplements are facultative and should be paid in loco at the time of renting. The supplements have the following costs: Euro 4,00 + VAT per day for vehicles in groups A/B/C/D, Euro 6,00 + VAT per day for vehicles in groups E/F/M/M1/S, Euro 16,00 + VAT per day for vehicles in groups E1/G/H/I/N/O/P/U, Euro 31,00 + VAT per day for vehicles in groups J/J1/Q/R (supplements not available for groups K and W). The prices indicated refer to EACH additional insurance supplement.

The insurance supplements Super CDW and Super TLW are not available for commercial vehicles, scooters, Mercedes SLK and Porsche Boxster.

Personal Accident Insurance (P.A.I.) :
The above insurance covers:
- The driver up to a maximum of Euro 51.645,70 in case of death or permanent invalidity.
P.A.I. is not always included in our rates.
Drivers who wish to undersign the P.A.I. must pay the following supplements at the start of the rental:
- Standard vehicles: included;
- Scooters: Euro 3,62 + VAT (20%) per day;
- Luxury Cars: Euro 10,00 + VAT (20%) per day;
- Commercial vehicles: Euro 8,00 + VAT (20%) per day.

Not covered by insurance :
Damage to windscreens, wheels, the roof, the vehicle underside and the interior are not covered by insurance. In the case of the loss of the vehicle documents, the client will be charged Euro 46,49 + VAT (20%). In the case of loss of the crash helmet, the driver will be charged Euro 155,00 + VAT (20%). In case of loss of the vehicle registration plate, the client will be billed for the sum of € 258.23 + tax.

Complaints: Any complainys must be received byn our main office within 60 days of the closure of the rental agreement.

N.B.: Rates and conditions subject to change without prior notice. The company reserves the right to refuse rentals for whatever reason.
